The Bhagavantha Kai Kotta has a tagline: Take It Easy. It applies to people watching this movie as it appears more like a documentary on organ donation than a feature film.  Director S Umesh seems to have not understood the pulse of the Kannada audiences and also not updated his knowledge on making film for the present generation. This movie has a message for those who want to donate their organs to help another person live longer.

The director has given a story format to the message through the hero Shankar (Ravishankar), an accounts officer, who is diagnosed with chronic cardiac problem. His doctor says he will live only for six months. During that period, Shankar faces realities of life when he meets his childhood classmate Deepika (Madhuri), Rajesh (Ravichethan) and faces embarrassing situations. He finds solace in Tanya (Roopashri), a prostitute in Mumbai. Suddenly, the director brings family life of Shankar alive with his brother and mother taking care of him. But he does not survive. The climax ends with a message on the need to donate organs and how it helps others. While Ravishankar has done a neat job, Madhuri shines in a lively but short sequence. The comedy track of Tennis Krishna is the real tragedy of the movie. The less said the better about the rest.
