Benki Birugali Movie is a 2013 Indian Kannada action comedy film directed and produced by SK Basheed who is making his debut in Sandalwood as a hero. The film also has Rishi, Kadhal Sandhya, Rekha, Monica, Banu Mehra, ‘Bullet’ Prakash, Layendra and Janardhan. While KS Cheluvaraj is the cinematographer of the film, MM Srilekha has composed the music. The film was launched in January 2011. It was shot at various locations in Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh. Benki Birugali released on 26 April. The film was supposed to be originally a bilingual – Telugu and Kannada - however, the Telugu version Fire, will not be released.

It is the best example of how not to direct a movie. A poor show by SK Basheed who does not know how to direct or act. If you want to waste time and money, go for this movie. After watching the movie, one gets the impression why Basheed ventured into direction and acting without any knowledge of them. There is no concrete story at all. Sequences are confusing due to poor editing. Many times there is no link between the scenes.

What we understand from the movie is that Daya (Basheed) is an international don. He has three lovers - Mona (Namitha), Sandhya (Kadal Sandhya) and Rekha (Rekha). We have another character called Chandu, a police officer who makes friends with the trio and traps Daya and kills him. If there is more than this, only the director can answer. One wonders what Rishika is doing in the movie without a proper role.  Basheed can never be a hero or director. It is a horrible show by him which is the main drawback of the movie. Performance of Bullet Prakash and Layendra is very poor. Music by MM Srilekha is also least impressive.
