The Modala Minchu story revolves around Ravi (Abhi) who falls in love with Divya (Supreeta), a medical student. However, he comes to know that she is already engaged to Rakesh (Sharath), a businessman. Though Rakesh is rich, he is not cultured and this makes Divya develop a liking for Ravi. She starts hating Rakesh. The arrogant Rakesh, who comes to know of this, decides to shoot both. Does he do it?

The Modala Minchu movie makes one wonder what made Wesley Brown take to direction. Poor script coupled with weak cinematography has added to the pathetic narration which shows no signs of improvement at any point. Except Supreeta, who has done justice to her role, and Sadhu kokila, who gives a decent comic twist to the story, other stars fail to impress. Music by Ashley Abhilash is quite impressive.

The director has come up with a boring storyline and while the presentation was poor, the narrative was pathetic. The dialogues were weak, the script was below average and the screenplay was shoddy. Background score was decent and two songs brought relief. Cinematography was amateur. Editing was required at many places. Costumes were appealing while the art department made its presence felt. Abhilash has a long way to go if he wants to become an actor, he should get trained. Supritha looks sexy and cheerful. Doddanna brought few smiles. Sadhu Kokila was apt. Sharat Lohitashwa was standard. Padma Vasanthi was okay.

The original story of Romeo and Juliet is immortal and the essence of that is to convey how love wins all challenges. But it doesn’t mean one has to let go of all sensibilities and think that anything can happen. That’s what the situation with this movie is. Without any reasoning and conviction this was made. While the first half goes about with the monotonous tale of romance, songs and some comedy, the second half gets into the boring sentiment and pale melodrama. Overall, this is a total immature product and it will fizzle out at the box office quickly.
