Meenakshi (Sanjjanaa) is a modest fisherwoman with a big dream - to marry 'Prince Charming' from Mumbai, the land that caught her fancy once she was young. In a shot to showcase the roller-coaster ride of her life, director Krishnappa weaves a sequence of events wherever she gets in and out of bother.

While the primary half is all concerning 2 fishermen having a fighting, the last half deals with Meenakshi's fight with reality, when landing in Mumbai with her Mr. Right. The plot fails to measure up to the title 'Mahanadi', symbolizing the path of a doomed lady. Slow narration and a foreseeable story fail to choose up pace or showcase any turbulence. Sanjjanaa's exaggerated expressions - wide open eyes in most the scenes - create her acting stereotyped.

Less same the higher of her 'Prince Charming' Raja ( Dileep) as he has very little to try to in a woman-centric plot. His role restricts him to some dream songs that are shot splendidly by Sundaranath Suvarna in scenic locales of Uttara Kannada then he vanishes, only to appear as a helpless hubby. When marrying Raja, Meenakshi quickly understands what is going on in his extended family and the underbelly of urban center. However by the time she makes him perceive, he falls victim to his own cognitive content, and is shot in his head.

The performance of Rangayana Raghu, who plays the role of gambler Ningappa, falls flat. The opposite characters, vie by Malathi Sardeshpande, Loknath, Shobharaj and Satyajit are average. Therefore are the songs composed by Neel? The tagline suggests the movie showcases 'A daring and exquisite woman'. However it winds up showcasing only Meenakshi's latter trait. Note: will watch if one is game for a woman-centric story. Stunning locales of Karwar, Ankola and different components of Uttara Kannada are a bonus.
